Blofield Village Fête 2025

One of the highlights of the Blofield community calendar is returning this summer, and organisers are already busy planning a packed programme of activities for residents of all ages. The village fête is a much-loved tradition that brings together families, local organisations, and businesses in a celebration of community spirit.

When and Where

The fête will be held on the village green in Blofield on a Saturday afternoon in July. Full details — including the confirmed date and start time — will be posted on this website and on parish noticeboards as the event draws closer. Admission to the event is free.

What's Planned

Each year the fête offers a mix of traditional favourites and newer additions. Activities typically include:

  • Stalls and tombola — local groups, charities, and traders set up stalls selling crafts, produce, and gifts
  • Children's games — classic games such as hook-a-duck, coconut shy, and egg-and-spoon races
  • Live music — local musicians and community groups perform throughout the afternoon
  • Refreshments — tea, cakes, ice cream, and a barbecue
  • Dog show — a popular informal competition with fun categories for all breeds
  • Raffle — with prizes donated by local businesses and organisations

Get Involved

The fête relies on the generosity and enthusiasm of volunteers and local organisations. There are several ways to get involved:

  1. Book a stall — community groups, charities, and small businesses are welcome to apply for a stall pitch
  2. Volunteer on the day — helpers are needed for setting up, running stalls, and clearing up afterwards
  3. Donate raffle prizes — local businesses are encouraged to donate prizes to the raffle
  4. Perform — musical acts and entertainment groups can express interest in performing

To register interest in any of the above, contact the parish clerk whose details are available on the Contact page of this website.

Supporting Local Causes

Proceeds from the fête traditionally support local causes and community projects. Previous years have seen funds raised go toward improvements to the village green, playground equipment, and donations to local charities. Details of this year's beneficiary will be announced in due course.
